Birds DesJardin Hosts the Ventura Field Ornithologists

VFO

If you would like to be part of VFO, and have your stats included on this
page, it's real easy. The only requirement is that your Ventura County
list is at least 300, regardless if you live in the county or not. If you
qualify, just email me with your name, your photo (optional), your Ventura
County list number (latest county bird optional), best self found Ventura
County birds (5 max), & favorite Ventura County birding locations (4 max).

IN REMEMBRANCE
Since the creation of this page, Ventura County has lost two very
important, compassionate, and personable birders. No amount of
text would ever say enough, no amount of sorrow would ever be enough
sorrow for those who knew and birded with them.

Record Keeping and Reporting Bird Sightings
Here in Ventura County we pride ourselves in record
keeping that could provide valueable data on avian
occurrence and population trends for future researchers
and birders. Any information is better than no
information at all. You can report things like, out of range
migrants, unusal concentrations of a particular species, or
any other unusual sightings to our compiler for North
   American Birds.
